Acting Resources

The entertainment industry is (in my opinion) one of the toughest industries in the world to survive in. You’re probably thinking, “This girl is crazy! Has she never been to medical school? Or what about passing the bar exam? I doubt she’s ever done a hard day of labor on a construction site.” Okay, maybe not those exact thoughts, but trust me, there are days when I wish I could have the stability of a construction worker, or the path of a lawyer laid out for me. This is what I mean, every actor, director, producer, casting director, location scout, etc, does not have an A to Z path to follow.

We all start at A and then maybe we go to B, but most people don’t go to C next. Some go to L, then Q, then W, then back to F. Reaching “Z” is very difficult, and only about 1-2% make it to that mystical position of true success. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep. (Notice none are under the age of 50, cause in this business, you gotta have staying power and you have to constantly prove yourself.)

Below you will find links to websites, articles, books, photographers, my own posts and anything else I think is important to an acting career. You don’t have to agree and you don’t have to take the advice, I’m just sharing what I’ve found is important and works for myself and others. The big thing to remember if you’re on the path, or thinking about getting on it, is no two people have the same path to success and you can’t compare yourself to others. Do what works for you and HAVE FUN!
